Wheatley Body problems!

I am making wheatley from portal 2 and have made the outer body from a polyurethane sphere. I am going to carve out the sphere so it is hollow inside. I am going to cover the inside with wonderplast. I need a material to cover the outside. There is a lot of detailed work on the outside and I need a material that will strenghten the foam but not interfere with the detailed work. Is there a kind of resin I could use? Maybe bondo would work? I'm open to any suggestions, please help!

Apoxy sculpt would serve your purposes well. Also check out http://furincosplay.blogspot.com/2011/07/wheatley.html for some more info. There is a whole build there. A very well done one if you have not seen it.

Apoxy sculpt can be sculpted while it is still soft and then carved and sanded when dry.
