What's a quick way to make a 'close enough' droid caller?

OK brainboxes, what's a good way to make a quick n' dirty Han Solo droid caller? I had a belt made and completely forgot to get the accessories! Is there a 'found' item that can be painted up to roughly match the dimensions of a costumebase caller? Any help greatly appreciated!
