What would fit my body and character the most?

With a ginger tint in your hair, you'd make a fine Wally West Flash. You're also a great fit for the Ninth Doctor if you don't mind darkening and close-cropping your hair. A little tall for The Master, perhaps, but you could still make it work. Before I noticed your height, I also thought you could do a good Joffrey (if you don't mind everyone at a con throwing heavy/sharp things at you), so just put a pin in that for later.

Or, if you want to make people really take notice, there's always Spider Jerusalem! Who wouldn't want to wield a bowel disruptor?

I've always thought that the Flash was the coolest character with super-speed. I think people keep suggesting it because with the new Flash tv series coming out it people will eat it up at whatever event you are going to. Also Flash would fit your height and body weight pretty well.

You may be able to pull off a Loki pretty well too. Perhaps a Jack Sparrow as well, but everyone does that.

You might consider Kickass and Draco Malfoy as well.

This is a little different, but I think that you could do a great John Constantine from Hellblazer.

John Constantine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He's a occult detective and deals with a lot of weird stuff every day, and is a little messed up because of it. He's definitely a hero, but cynical and a bit of an ass. He's also rumored to possess some very powerful magic, but rarely seem to use it. Instead he tricks people and cons them into doing what he wants.

You are 6ft 4 and he's listed as 6 ft 0, which isn't that much of a difference really, especially considering that the comic is drawn in a way that makes it hard to really get a good grip of how tall the characters really are. Constantine has been interpreted in a lot of different ways, so being a perfect look alike would be difficult. In my opinion you have good facial features for making a version of him.
Some grease in your hair and some gunk on your face, and you'll have it down pat.

He wears "normal" clothing, so sewing would be limited to altering the garments to fit right. A trench coat, white dress shirt, a tie (red or black), a pair of dark pants and a pair of boots is pretty much his "costume". You'll need to distress and dirty these things up a lot. This is where the real work would be needed. He practically lives in that getup, to the point that loosing his trench coat is a major deal in one storyline. As such, having clean clothes is not that characteristic.
You should be able to find most if not all of the clothes in thrift stores, which would keep the budget down a lot. Research into what kind of trench he wears might be necessary if you want it just right.

He also smokes like a chimney. He's pretty much always drawn smoking, so it's a part of the character. If you don't smoke I'm not telling you to start, and if you do, I believe that DH has rules about smoking inside. Get some fake cigarettes.

Hope this helps!

Well, I do not if it is just me, but after looking at your pics, but with the right hair dye and length or a wig, you could pass for a Loki.

I never used to think of Flash as a cool character, I always thought "he runs fast, so what?" but once you actually get into the character a bit more and read a few comics and watch the Justice League cartoons, he can do a hell of a lot of cool stuff.

To the OP, I agree with the poster who suggested Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians. You really do look a lot like him.

Without knowing your fandoms, this gets tricky.

You're tall, pale, and blonde. (So am I, but I'm a good deal older, and my hair is a lot longer.)

Other ideas ...

Spike from Buffy

One of the bad guys from Dark City

There's always Captain America, but that's a pretty involved costume (Plenty of info on The RPF though if you want to go down that road).

Or as I have asked people in the past "Have you ever considered a career in piracy?"

Choose what you most want to do. You won't have the same enthusiasm if you don't. If you are leaning toward Mad Hatter or Joker, flip a coin and go with one of them. But, if you are still open to suggestion:

-With your long and lean body, you would make an excellent Scarecrow.
-Jack Frost is another great possibility since you do share a physical resemblance, though in my opinion you are too tall.
-Jack Skellington.

I think you could do the Flash too, but those are my top 3 suggestions for things that "you don't see every con."

Tom Hiddleston is 6'2 also.

In your pics, you do remind me a bit of Michael Vartan, but he hasn't done much that is worth dressing up as.. :(

If you like the Joker I might suggest the classic Joker as he is slightly more of an insane and fun character to cosplay. He's tall too.
It's quite an open character and is fun to interpret the costume etc. in different ways.
I have a Pinterest board dedicated to The Joker & Harley on Pinterest.
Perhaps it could offer some inspiration :) http://www.pinterest.com/samuelforeman1/the-joker-harley

Hmm it seems your in a tough spot if you want to completely nail the physical traits of a character. I could see you doing Jayce from League of Legends (I see Zyra by you in that pic). Or if you want to go really far out there you could do Narcis Prince from Super Punch Out. I wish I couldve found more but srsly that is all Ive got.

Edit: Maybe you could be a tall Link from Legend of Zelda

Personally I think you could do a really good (animated series or Arkham city) Mr. Freeze, David from Prometheus or even Mal from Firefly. Really though as long as its character you like, you'll have fun. If you are ambivalent to the character, it will show in both your demeanour wile wearing the costume, and the costume itself. Considering how you spoke of Heath Ledger's Joker I'd go for that... or simply combine aspects of the Jokers you like most, as he is SO iconic, and remove several constraints. Really though, as long as you like the character (and have the patience) you can pull almost anything off within reason. Good luck

Scrattle, I know what you mean, I also like to "fit" the character/costume as much as possible and I have to second the people suggesting Vash, guys like us are in that sweet spot of being just tall-ish, skinny-ish and wiry-ish to pull off a character like that!

You would fit Second Lieutenant Jean Havoc from Fullmetal Alchemist well. You would also look good as Commander Erwin from Attack on Titan. If all else fails, go as the Arkham Asylum Joker.
