What type of paint do you use near your eyes

Hi, I have a Gammorrean Guard costume. I would like to paint around my eyes to math the color of the costume. Similar to what guys do when then wear a Batman or Chewbacca costume. What type of paint do you use?

I also have another question on painting latex rubber.
I have attached a picture of the Gammorean Guard costume, As you can see the leg color doesn't match the rest of the body color. What should I use to paint the legs?

Any help and info will gereatly appreicated!

Thanks, Dave

ive seen people use water based and oil based makeup and seen them ALL sweat off, especially when wearing rubber around your face.
Id suggest if you dont want to go to the full way of using an alcohol based ink (which you can use on your eyelids but get someone else to apply it) then go the route of a waterproof gel eyeliner in a pot. Various makeup companies sell a black which you could then always add some matt green or similar powder makeup over the top (cant remember for certain what colour is around a gammo guards eyes)
I cant see where you are from in this world..if i did i could suggest a brand that sells in your country. I have very oily eyelids and use the stuff sometimes under eyeshadow when i did Ventress and the black would NOT budge or crease.

Well I use Easton brand "eyeblack" for my Grayson Robin costume- same stuff baseball and football players use. Doesn't run when you sweat (well at least it doesn't with me).

Only downside is that it doesn't come in any colour but black.

Thanks for the feed back/info on the eyes.

What should I use to paint the legs to match the rest of the costume?

I highly recommend using Liquiset mixed with either a water based make up paint or pigment.

I regularly wear PAX on my face but I like to thin it a lot with Liquiset as it prevents needing to use too much IM near my eyes.

Prosthetic Aide and Liquiset are both acrylic based and are skin safe. But PA is a glue and as such is something you need to test your own tolerance levels of. But there are no fumes to worry about near the eyes as you have with alcohol activated make up (which is not recommended to be used near the eyes).

Liquiset works really really well with Pearl-x and other mica or pigment powder, better with those meant to be used for make up rather than pure pigment for paints. If you get a nice flat round brush you can build in layers around the eye.
I have also mixed with with acrylic ink for eyeliner and it is amazing except for the aclohol in the ink which can sting.

For the legs, what are they? If they are latex then PAX will also work but you need to powder heavily. I have painte latex really successfully with just acrylic paint and a flow medium but I was only able to do that once and have not been able to replicate it on other projects. I think it was a fluke as to the paint and flow medium brands and age of them as well. I purchased more of each brand new and that mix peeled off horribly.

I have also had some success with mixing liquid latex and acrylic paint. It does build up so really fine texture may get lost but on the legs it is probably less of an issue.

That's the progress of the successful painting, it may help show what can be done. I suspect actually i used a really cheap paint which may be why it stuck so well- it is quite dry and matt compared to good brands.
