What type of motors to move R2D2 life size replica?

I have a full size kit I purchased piece by piece over the years (still unassembled), the feet have plywood inserts to mount wheel chair motors.

NPC's...I believe they are 2212's

Or scooter motors...

Or some have even used windshield wiper motors in the past...All depends on the weight of your droid.

NPC-2212 is definitely the best choice especially for a heavy R2-D2.

As above, scooter motors (24v ones) out of ride on kids scooters, check out eBay etc. Got them installed in my R5 :thumbsup
He's an all wood build and is quite heavy, about 44Kg's not including the two batteries, and he can still shift lol.

I used for my 33.7kg 1:1 R2D2 build this kit: https://digitalmeans.co.uk/shop/rd-03-24-v-robot-drive?search=rd03&description=true (I steered the whole thing with an Arduino Uno in the R2 with a 433MHz receiver attached and an Arduino Nano with a transmitter in my lightsaber)
