What sabers did Larbel make?

So just how many various sabers did Larbel make?

I have his Q and O (2nd to last batch), and a Vader ANH MPP (6 grip). I've seen many bearing his name but was wondering just how many he actually did.

Ahh, archive.org. Whoever came up with that website deserves a prize. And also a slap, because it can be infuriating!

When was he making these? I have heard the name around for years but never actually found a real source. Only other people selling their personal Larbel sabers.

The only ones I remember him doing for sure besides the ones that are on that page were the graflex and mpp replicas. Maybe a Mara Jade, but I'm far from certain. There were never any AOTC sabers from him, he shut down before then.

There were various SS and EL sabers as well, but they were all of existing versions.

Wow, good ol' Larbel. I ordered one the last of his MPP replicas shortly after I joined here back in 2002. I think he was out of Graflex replicas at that time. Didn't he cease production after he was hired by MR to oversee production of the MPPs that they did?

Yep, I think he may have been involved on a number of sabers with MR.

Djinn, I think the Larbel sabers appeared late '99 and ran till sometime in '02. Someone may correct me on dates, but that sounds about right. People selling their own sabers is now the only source for these.

Ahhh....so good....

Hez is right, in addition to the ones on that site, he also did a Mara Jade and the Graflex and MPP EL replicas.

I had at one point...

Standard O and Q
Stainless Steel O and Q
EL O and Q
EL M
Standard Mace Windu E1
EL Graflex

I asked him about a SS M once and he said it just wasn't worth the production cost.

Best of luck. I've been looking for a Larbel M for a LONG time... wanted one of those since late 99, early 2000 when he was still making these sabers. *sigh* :)

Didnt his graflexes have problems with the black plastic parts in the top of the flash breaking pretty easily? I thought I remember a lot of people posting about that back when they were being sold.

The black lip circled here had a tendency to chip. These are real Graflexes, not Larbels, but one of my EL Graflexes came chipped.

I have one of those Graflex replicas and noticed chipping on it when I got it out last week to dust. That was probably from setting it down on the desk to dust the stand. :unsure

I still have my O and Q of his. Even with MR releasing their versions, I never did replace the Larbel's in my collection. Still two of my favorites in my entire collection.

I still have an O, whatever the Ki Adi Mundi was called (with anodizing), the Mace TPM(M?) shiny, MPP replica, and Graflex replica. The only Larbel saber I've replaced is the Maul saber.

I have two of his Graflexes laying around somewhere. They were great for the time, but compared to what's been made since, they have their issues...the finish, the weight, flimsiness of the ears, the plastic socket broke easily. I loved them when I got them seven or eight years ago (***** time has flown), but they haven't really held up over time. I still love his MPP though. Really beautifully done piece.
