What movie set would you want in your backyard??

Man, it would have to be a spaceport. I'm thinking the hanger of the MonCal ship from Jedi. Then I could have the Falcon in full scale with the interior, an A-wing and maybe a B-wing. People have done the X-wing but how about some love for the weirder ROTJ ships? Of course, the Hoth hanger would be cool (pun intended!):p too!. Then I could have a snowspeeder, a taun-taun and then sometimes flood the place with Imperials and Wampas!

P.S. - Serenity might have to sit off to the side in there somewhere too!

Would have to be a full size Millennium Falcon.....

It has everything you need, the cool cockpit (as SofaKing knows), the chill out room with Hologram Chess. I imagine it has some bunks somewhere, and who doesn't need a few hidden smuggling compartments from time to time.

Perfect manctuary.

Mos Eisley Spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. To build it... We must be cautious...

One of my favorite movie quotes ever.

The longest time i've always heard the german fully synchronised version (i don't know how it is called in english when every voice is translated and spoken by an native speaker)

"Mos Eisley Raumhaufen. Nirgendwo wirst du mehr Abschaum und Verkommenheit versammelt finden als hier. Wir müssen vorsichtig sein!"

I think Jabbas Palace would be cool in my backyard, with protocol droids, astromech's, Twi'lek Dancers an Bikini-Slaves ;)

oh, and with the rancor-pit

Now that I think of it, The Addams Family house would be kinda cool, too!

Great posts! Again guys....WITHIN REASON! I don't think a spaceport with every ship in it is within reason! :lol

LOL! OH DARN... 2-3 acres is a BIG space... So... I don't think the Hoth Base is too much to ask. But... the set of the TOS Enterprise Bridge would be amazing.

A couple of acres? There's easily room for the ultimate Starship-bridge-home-cinema, but really I'd be looking at picking a castle, with room for my archery and other activities, and, let's face it, there's plenty of movies castles to choose from (Prince of Thieves, anyone?)

I would build a partial enterprise. bridge engine room sleeping courtiers etc. I would build the units on pistons were there could be shaken and have simulated attacks. and have people come an go through a scenario they would like to have.

Hotel Enterprise...lol

I'd love to have some part of Diagon Alley in my backyard....and if not that, at least some kind of access port (permanent port key?) to there.

Toxx, it's called dubbing (doublage in French and you're right it's synchronieseren in German) Doublage means double, which is what, technically, it is: on top of the original voice you add another. I hated it and always looked for the original version on Dutch TV (when I was living in Brussels).
As for me, Deckard's apt. from Blade Runner, complete with all the furniture and all the nick-nacks :cool

If you had 2-3 acres of land in your backyard and you could build anything (within reason, such as you can't build the entire Death Star), what movie set would you build.

For me it would be the Hill Valley 2015 Town Square.

I would have to go with you on this, the 2015 set really captured my imagination and still does to this day.
A good runner up though would be a Star Trek related set.

I like where your head is at, sean!

Serenty, Hands down. My favorite space ship in a new York minute. It's been built in it's entirety twice. I would be ticked to build one to code and move in.

This, exactly. I can't think of anything from any movie or TV show I'd want more, though an interior of the Millennium Falcon would also be pretty cool, Serenity is much better suited to inviting people over for dinner on. There are plenty of places from video games I'd love to have as sets too, like the "Complex" level from Goldeneye 64/Perfect dark.

I would want my house to be the visitors center from Jurassic Park, complete with cloning facilities and control room.
