What movie have you only seen ONCE, but everyone else a million times?

The Maltese Falcon - Wow, this movie was all kinds of awful.
Blade Runner - I have to agree about the darkness someone earlier posted about. I get it, it's atmosphere and it's overkill for me.

Memento and Crouching Tiger both come to mind. I never even made it all the way through Anchorman, either.

Fight Club. I didnt get to see it in theaters and all my friends were carrying on calling it the best movie they had ever seen. I saw it and thought it was ok. I didnt read the book and I called the outcome of the movie halfway through.

The Seven Samurai. I liked it, but I've never had the occasion to rewatch it.

All three original Indiana Jones movies.

The Star Wars "prequels." God, I have no desire to watch those things ever again.

A Christmas Story. Actually finally sat through the whole thing just last year.

Re: What movie have you only seen ONCE, but everyo

Monty Python's The Meaning of Life and Life of Brian.

Titanic. When it first came out, I couldn't go out to see it for health reasons. By the time the crisis was over, it had been at our local theater for a YEAR, and I said to myself that that was just ridiculous, and by now it'd be weepy teenage girls in the audience with a crush on Leo. I didn't see it until we rented it on disc. Hubby keeps saying we should rent it again, and I'm like "Dude, you're watching it alone." Blech.

Only saw E.T. once. One back then we didn't see movies more than once in the theater and it was years later that it finally was released on VHS. My sister had it on VHS, but I never watched it on. Not that I didn't like it, but it wasn't one of those movies that I was in love with either.

I saw A Christmas Story in the theater when it was released back in 1983, and didn't like it at all. A few years ago I realized certain tv stations were running marathons during the Christmas holiday, and I couldn't understand why so I gave it another try. It was even worse the second time around.

The Godfather - I liked the ideas explored in the movie, but it all just seemed so drawn out and tedius to me. Then again I was 16 when I saw it. I might appreciate it more now.

Bladerunner - still not convinced it's the best SF film ever made, merely a fairly competent workmanlike effort. If "Meh" had been invented back then my response would have been a resounding "Meh".

Let the flames begin. ;)

Blade Runner, but not because I wasn't impressed. I didn't see it until a few years ago, and I just haven't gotten around to sitting down and watching it again.

The Sixth Sense

I liked it, but after the big revelation just didn't see the point of seeing it again.

I think everyone has *seen* or heard of this movie, but has anyone really watched it multiple times? Besides Lucy's family in "50 First Dates"?

I think I *maybe* watched it twice. Once, when the ending was still a twist, and then once again to re-confirm with myself all the little clues along the way. But that's it. Never an urge to watch it again.
