What kind of video tape...

I only know VHS, Beta 2000 and Betamax. But they look differently.
Is that a US version?

I want to replicate the tapes from LOST. And i only had those 2 pics.

Confirming: That looks like 3/4" Umatic tape to me. I worked at the student television station in college (1990s) and this is what we shot & edited on. We coud never afford upgrades so this is definitely a technology Dharma would have used in the 1960s.

Yes these are U-matic tape, we still had some of those in the archives (but no player/recorder lol) of the previous tv station I worked at.

You can find used or new U-matic tapes for cheap (less than $5) on eBay to use as a base for your props.
