What is your "Scariest Movie Moment" ever?!

Hahaha, got a kick out of reading the last five pages. The blood test scene from The Thing (1982) scared the crap outta me

The blood test scene from the 1982 Thing was more disgusting than scary. All those closeups of REAL FINGERS being sliced by razor blades was just gross. I don't need to see REAL people's fingers being cut open. Blaaaahh.

Also Dead Silence scared me :)

Here's a couple where I jumped pretty good.

Japanese film - Audition - when the bag behind her lurches. You knew something was wrong with her and then you really knew something was wrong with her.
.

While reading this thread I was trying to remember the name of that movie. That part scared the crap out of me.

Poltergeist 1 & 2 always creep me out.

The Orphan when she starts taking her teeth out and reveals that she isn't a little kid is pretty terrifying.

My scariest movie movement was near the end of [REC]. Not the remake Quarantine.

The original skinny monster freaked me out!

Mine's from 1408. John Cusack's character is watching an axe wielding maniac out of his window who is in a room across the street. The music is suspenseful and then the maniac is in the room with John Cusack.

I remember being in the theater and thinking, "I have to get out of here." I finally was able to calm down and tell myself that it was just a movie, but I guess I got a little sucked in there. :rolleyes

The wife rented Hostel 2. Not going to lie, but the end part with the hedge clippers made me throw up. Could not sleep that night and still gets me just thinking about it now.

NO! The soccer game is hilarious! I never laughed so hard in my life! It's was "Wow, those Romanian kids are really twisted!" hahahahahahaha

Hmm got a few. Chronologicly as i watched them.

CRITTERS 2 - I don't know why but those were my childhood nightmare. I especially remember the scene when they ate the old guy who tried to escape by climbing the chair. One of the critters bites of a part of his toe an image burned into my soul forever :). My video rent store was pretty without any age + secions so i must have seen it when i was 6 or 7 somaby i was really too young to watch those "terryfing" little furballs :)

IT - The Pennywise overall.

Child play - This F#&*@! doll scared the **** out of me. I remember having nightmares where it stalked me in my basement.

And from recent ones. nothing scared me like THE GRUDGE. There's just something so creepy about this ghost girl that gets under my skin. That's just plain embarrassing since i watched it as an adult.

In 2001 A Space Odyssey..or the sequel, not sure which one it was but the old lady that just sits up in her bed near the end, with the brush floating over and brushing her hair...by her son if I remember correctly.

Anyhow, the expression and look on her face when she sits up...and the old lady in the tub from The Shining.

Those two still freak me out today...

Alien scared me when I was a little kid. I was afraid that the alien would come and get me at night when I was asleep.
I must have been six or seven or so when we saw it on video. My dad had watched it with me, and had explained to me how "it is just a movie", but that was not enough.

When I was a kid, I also saw Peter Jackson's Meet the Feeblies on video, without permission. I was a big fan of the Muppet Show and the text on the cover said that it was supposed to be a hilarious comedy. I got physically sick from watching it. It was my most disgusting movie experience as a kid.
I saw it later in adulthood, but then I just laughed.

What has scared me the most in adulthood must have been the "Blink" episode of Dr Who with the weeping angels.

I can't watch Battle Royale. It made me sick in the first five minutes.

2010. Really? That's Dave Bowman's Mother. She was in a coma and about to die. Dave knowing what's about to happen with Jupiter etc. Makes contact with her, and Brushes her hair and says Goodbye to her. It's not scary, it's touching, he knows that's it, no more contact with earth (Until 3001 that is), So he's tying up loose ends.

I don't get scared easily, but there is one scene in The Silence of the Lambs that still gives me chills.
The moment Clarice Starling enters the "Your Self Storage" facility, lighting, music, buildup and climax of that scene scrared the hell out of me.

Paranormal Activity.
Leg is pulled out from the bed and she is dragged down the hall.

This is why I refuse to sleep without my blankets wrapped around me like a mummy. This scene also occurred in Rugrats, an episode where there was some sort of alligator-look-alike under the bed. (I'm assuming) This is where the fear developed.

Event Horizon has a couple of Oh, S! moments. :lol

Tales From The Crypt when they guy sees Death on a motorcycle in his rear-view mirror always kinda freaked me out.

Not a scary movie at all, but till this day I cannot sleep on my stomach out of fear of being stabbed in the back from ghostface killing sarah michelle gellar. It is kind of sad.

And I refuse to finish Indigo Prophecy because that game was scaring the hell out of me. Not fun to play in a basement all alone at night.

Signs still makes me jump a little..first you see the leg disappearing into the corn field & Mel freaks a little....the knife as a mirror under the door & the alien hand reaches under grabbing..then...basement when the thing grabs the kid and he drops the flashlight making total darkness..niiiiice effect..then you really don't see that reflection in the TV when they come upstairs and the alien has the kid (minus the digits Mel removed earlier) Alien not so good loooking as far as special effects went....has M. Night really done anything worthwhile since...not that Signs killed it but it wasn't bad...

Ah, so many good choices!

Demon face in Insidious for sure.

In the movie Fear when Mark Wahlberg beheads the family's German Shepherd and throws it through the doggie door. I saw that when I was extremely little, and growing up I had a German Shepherd.

When I was 3 or 4, my dad had given me a VHS tape and told me it was the movie Space Jam. In fact, it was an episode of Tales from the Crypt. I ended up watching it at night, and still can't watch the show to this day.

When I was probably 6, my mom and dad were watching Child's Play, and I had never seen it. Around this time, Furby's were the hot toy, and I had just received one for my birthday. Well, let's just say that Furby's had a tendency to turn themselves on and talk at random. Mine just so happened to do that at about 3 AM the night I watched Child's Play.

Watching the Godzilla remake when I was 6 or 7 during a storm, and having the lights completely go out during the scene where the babies hatch in Madison Square Garden. Yikes.

Another was watching Alien with my grandpa. He is a horror/sci-fi NUT, and loves being scared in general. Well, we ended up watching it at 1 or 2 in the morning in pitch black darkness with every window open in the house. That still is one of my favourite memories.
