What is your favorite movie mistake?

If animated movies are okay in here Transformers The Movie from '86 is so full of mistakes it isn't funny.

Here is another funny one. Charlies Angel movie portrays a bird identified as a pygmy nuthatch. Doesn't look or sound like a pygmy nutchatch.

Close Encounters when Richard Dreyfuss and Terri Garr are fighting and they show the kid watching from his bedroom and you can hear Steven Speilberg say "ok you can close the door now" and the kid closes the door. You have to turn the volume up to hear it though.

Sweet

Ghostbusters when pieces of the apartment building are falling to the street. A giant hunk of concrete bounces off one of the wooden horses.

How about in Pee Wee's Big Adventure, when he's driving the car and the escaped convict is next to him in the car asleep. The road signs are rolling are rolling at the car on platformed wheels. Each one more visible than the next - funny thing is - it kinda fits the movie.

In the pan and scan version, you can also see the super-long bike chain Pee Wee pulls out of his bike's saddle bag is being fed through an opening in the bottom of the bag.

In Hellboy, when HB is entering Kroenen's lair, the shot was clearly flipped in post production, because his Right Hand of Doom is on his left hand.

And another classic Braveheart error: at the start of the first big field battle, when Wallace is running at the head of the pack, you see shots him running empty handed, to holding a weapon, to being empty handed again.

In the Princess Bride, you can see one of the crew members on the screen when they are in the forest during the rat attack.

In Willow, at the end of the wagon chase scene, you can see the axle and rubber wheels on the back end of the cart as the brownies fall off.

Return of the Jedi - final duel -

When Luke is on the catwalk and Vader throws his lightsaber....it's lit on the wrong end. Also when Vader is telling Luke he cannot hide forever he is holding Luke's lightsaber in his left hand.

There are also some lightsaber mistakes in Revenge of the Sith. If you look closely:

During the duel between Grievous and Obi-Wan, two of the lightsabers Grievous is using are clearly the Obi-Wan and Anakin sabers, even though Obi-Wan and Anakin retrieved their lightsabers from Grievous earlier in the film.

During the duel between Palpatine/Sidious and Mace Windu, Sidious is occasionally using Anakin's lightsaber hilt (though it has a red blade).

During the duel between Anakin/Vader and Obi-Wan on Mustafar, while they're grappling on the table inside the control room Obi-Wan is also occasionally using Anakin's lightsaber.

Was Vader's English accent ever get explained? If it hasn't then the whole prequel trilogy is a mistake with Anakin having no accent haha

It's not an 'English' accent, it's a 'Coruscant' accent, which I guess he picked up when he moved into the Imperial Big League.

...yeah I made that crap up.

Some of my favorite generic movie mistakes include:

- Constantly racking the slide on pump action shotguns, and cocking automatic pistols repeatedly.

- Pulling a katana from its scabbard and getting that metal "zhhhhwing" sound from the foley artists.

- How friggin' vocal horses are in movies. They're CONSTANTLY whinnying. In my experience, real horses don't do that.

- Screeching tires on dirt/gravel roads.

'Terminator 2' has so many firearm goofs it isn't even funny.
The lever on Arnolds shotgun changes shape in every scene.
When John hands him his 1911 near the car it has the hammer down, then the hammer's up, then it's down again etc.
Arnold uses the 2 tone 1911 to shot the SWAT guys in the legs at Cyberdyne and then clearly throws the pistol down and leaves. Then near the end he magically pulls it out and says 'Hasta la vista baby' and shoots the T-1000 with it.
I really hate that movie but that's for another thread...

For some reason, this is my favorite "gun" mistake from Terminator 2.

To think they had a short video on the Ultimate Edition DVD from this very set detailing how gun safety is accomplished.

Not so much a mistake; but in Avatar after they realize that Dr. Grace was shot, Jake calls out, "Get the Trama Kit!" to which Norm replies "Trama Kit!" as he disappears off screen to find it...

My wife & I howl at that part every time. :p

I don't get it.

I don't get it.

I think it's because since Jake called for a trauma kit, it wouldn't make any sense why Norm would also shout for one since Norm is the only person on the copter not doing anything. The only other person Norm would shout to besides Jake and Grace is Trudy, and what is Trudy going to do when she needs to pilot the copter?
