What is Vader's Diagnosis?

What is Vader's Diagnosis?

He's an a***ole. I'd like to-

*CUT*

Seriously, that idiot doesn't deserve redemption after all he's done. The fact that he's so happy at the end of Jedi gives the impression he's totally oblivious to the decades of slavery, betrayal and total genocide he's helped commit. You can't erase all of that with a few seconds of tossing an old guy off a catwalk. The fact that he just dies gets him off the hook from working to make things better.

But he looks cool doing it :lol

You think *that's* disturbing? Try this:

Heh. Very difficult to know if he's joking or not. I've been trying to find out for literally *years* whether he has a sense of humour. I think he does but it's about fifteen notches drier than mine, and he's not admitting it. :)

Edit - not only is Vader's redemption easy, it isn't all that selfless either. As I've pointed out before, he saves his own son. That can be construed as selfish act. The fact that only a personal connection could have prompted him to act against the Emperor doesn't exactly make a philanthropist of him.

You know, love him or hate him, Joss Whedon writes good redemption. George Lucas doesn't.

Re: Darth Vader #1 searched on Yahoo

French psychiatrist Eric Bui and his colleagues at Toulouse University Hospital in France have diagnosed Star Wars character Darth Vader with borderline personality disorder.

The theory, which will be published in the journal Psychiatric Research, also includes the idea that The Force represents drug use. As Bui puts it, “Using the dark side of the Force could be considered as similar to drug use: It feels really good when you use it, it alters your consciousness and you know you shouldn’t do it.”

Bui also theorizes that teenagers are so attracted to Star Wars because of their own borderline personality traits. Bui believes that by diagnosing Vader it will raise awareness for the disease and people will get help.

The idea has been received with some level of mockery as many people think it is ridiculous to diagnose an imaginary character with a real disease. As Linda Dahlstrom quips, “As for the researchers themselves, they may want to examine each other for delusional disorder, a condition where people confuse fiction with reality.

How quaint. A mass murderer and oppressor to help mentally ill people. WOW. Grow some balls.

The only thing Star Wars PT and RotJ taught me was that there are no consequences to murdering people. Even as a kid Anakin had no issues with murder.

I couldn't find it available yet. I MAY be able to get the corrected proof without a fee but I didn't see it anywhere as a corrected E-Pub....

Imaginary.

But If Vader doesn't go to space hell then there is no such thing.

If you can commit evil for decades and then just say 'sorry' then Hitler and Stalin are in heaven as well.
