What is this Boba helmet worth??

Hi,

Because i dont have enough space for my collection i want to thin out a little bit. I plan to sell some stuff but i dont know what it is worth. Hope you guys could help me a little bit.

I have bought this helmet two years ago from a guy who said to be a former Don Post employee.
Its a fibreglass Boba Fett helmet with plaque Nr.321 Don Post deluxe. He did some modifications with the paint job. I really dont know if its really this helmet and i also dont know for how much i could sell it. I need the money but i want to be correct to anybody who is interessted.

hey, it´s a really great helmet IMO but unfortunatly i can´t afford it right now. i haven´t seen one of these FG Don Posts for a while now...
i think everything between 400 and 800 $ might be reasonable.

Can't be worth that much. Look at all the paint chipping...it's even got a big dent in it.

if it is in fact a deluxe (pics of the inside would help determine that) they sold for like 750 ,but with the new mr's out, i am sure the value has dropped ,plus the fact that its been repainted ,250-300 maybe what its worth but who knows

Another info i got from the former owner was, that this was a kind of prototyp of the official run. The paintjob was a bit different from the others and the helmet inside has no padding.

Are those ears made of metal? If they are, just the ears alone once offered at tdh was worth at leaset usd245. It should worth more now taking time value of money.:thumbsup

Very tough to say. If it is a Dlx it is certainly an oddity. As has been mentioned before, with the MR helmet available, I am afraid the Don Post offerings aren't going to bring in very much except to a hard core collector.

Dont understand why the DP deluxe should lose in value because of the MR. Before the MR there were/are many excellent fanmade helmets on the market and the DP didnt lose in value. Many cheap and unfinished Boba helmets are worth 200 USD and more. A DP deluxe Vader helmet is much as worth like years before, although there are so many great Vader helmets out there.

I think Braks is right, with the new licensed MR helmet, the DP DLX isn't going to fetch as much as it used to, sadly :unsure I think that only the hardcore licenced collectors and DP fans would be interested.

The guys on the TDH has the same opinion....its a DP deluxe with some modifications to make it look more accurate. And it seems to be very difficult to make a good price for that helmet because the ears are all metall and that costs a lot alone, also its a great collectors piece and i really dont want to sell it for 200-300 USD. Thats not enough for that helmet. I will keep it as it is for my helmet collection.
