What is the worst film of 2012?

Dark Knight Rises was the worst movie I paid to see in 2012.

Thank you for saying this.

I didn't pay to see many films this year, in fact only about 5 (including Raiders of the Lost Ark) but the only one that I actually felt I threw away my money on was DKR.

And the thing is, I personally know at least 4 people that outright claim it is the best movie ever made. Whoa.

I won't go into details, but bottom line is that I enjoyed Taken 2 infinitely more.

I only saw really fantastic movies in the theater this year. "Cabin in the Woods," "Avengers," "Dark Knight Rises" and a few others that were really stellar. Saying DKR was the worst of them would hardly be an insult, they were all pretty outstanding.

Thank you. I don't see why people think that movie was bad. I guess it didn't live up to their hype, I don't know. I loved it as well.

Prometheus. It's not only bad, but it's harmful to other excellent movies.

Well, I must recind my previous statement. I had clearly blocked out this part of my memory due to the terrible damage to my psyche. I did see this, it was total ****. :facepalm

Abe Lincoln vampire hunter for me. The whole movie felt like one big preview as it jumped around so much. I read the book and the movie was ? I was embarrassed afterwards that I kept telling everyone I wanted to see it so bad.

Okay, now that I've seen TASM I can say with emphatic honesty that the worst movie of 2012 was The Dark Knight Rises.

The only thing TDKR was missing was bat-nipples on the suit to complete its flaws.

NOTE: I love Bats Begins and The Dark Knight.

GBA started a thread about what was the best film of 2012.

I was surprised to see some people had Prometheus on their list of best films - I would put it here.

I know I will get some grief from some on the forum and I agree it looked fantastic, but the script, the story ... Definitely makes this list. Sorry if that offends anyone
Was Prometheus a little disappointing? Yeah. But DEFINITELY not the worst movie of 2012.

I would say Wrath of the Titans was the worst movie of 2012, and quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen.

Worst film of 2012 that i seen was Skyfail, i mean Skyfall...just awful.
Best of 2012 was "Ted"

I'm gonna have to totally disagree with you on that one. Skyfall was a fantastic edition to the bond franchise due to the fact it was unlike any other bond movie.

The fact that bond was on the run rather than hunting someone down was a great way to take the movie. As for Ted, what a complete letdown. I had hoped that Seth Macfarlane would be pushing the limits a little further than he would with Family Guy, instead it seemed more watered down.

I found skyfall very slow. Great first 10/15mins and then 65+mins of nothing really. I suppose it depends on what you look for in a Bond film. Every directors seems to want to bring Bond back to the novel version of him, or to show Bond has a "vulnerable" side. But what tends to happen imo is that the Bonds are just turning into another action movie but put an old Aston Martin in there, and all of a sudden it's a Bond film.

Ted i didn't expect much from. But it wasted 90mins and i left the cinema happy. I suppose it's what you expect. I expected a lot from Bond and it failed me, i didn't expect anything from Ted...

Let's see...

My wife and I watch most movies on DVD so,

Prometheus - fell asleep about an hour in, woke up for the last 10 minutes and didn't feel like I missed anything.

Hunger Games - turned it off after about 20 minutes.

MIBIII - turned if off after 10 minutes.

So I guess MIBIII wins my worst award.:lol

Ghost Rider 2 for me...I thought the first was decent at best, but this one was just a total wash. What a waste of characters, money, and time here. My school's sci-fi club members went with me to see it and not one of us could find something redeeming about it.

Breaking Dawn... Was forced to watch it.

It would've been tolerable if they had the women show a little skin... But nooooo... It had to be those damn werewolf guys.

Sucker Punch.
Yeah, I know it didn't come out this year but it was so bad I'm going to be pressed to find anything worse for years to come.
