What is the worst film of 2012?

I'm surprised to see so many of you listing movies that, while they might have not met your expectations, were far from being terrible movies.

The Apparition, Alex Cross, Taken 2, and The Raven were by far the worst movies I've seen this year. They were just bad films, plain and simple.

I can only post from the ones I've seen! I made sure to make that distinction though. ;)

Generally I don't go to the theatre unless I already know it'll be good.

Hah, that's a good point that I forgot to take in account. Some people just don't go to the theater very often, and I don't blame them.

Luckily there's a "21-and-up only" theater in my area, which cuts down on a lot of obnoxious kids with their cell phones. They also have a very strict policy against cell phones out during the movie, and will kick out anyone disturbing their fellow movie-goers.

Wish we had one of those in my neighbourhood!

That said, I've never found it to be that bad. Most people are pretty polite... Most. :lol

Really? DKR wasn't great but the worst film you saw? Wow.

Whatever floats your boat man!

Of the movies I saw none of them were bad but if I were to pick one I'd have to say The Avengers. It was a 6.5/10 for me and I did enjoy it but it wasn't as good as DKR, Prometheus, or Skyfall IMHO.

(waiting for the flame...)

Dude, I'd like some of the drugs you're on! :lol

:lol

Now's my chance to return your rolleyes! :rolleyes

(BTW, for the record I ****ing HATE that emoticon)

Of the movies I saw in the theatre this year I enjoyed them all. That said, Avengers had the least substance. I'm not so much a "Oooo... Shiny!" movie goer as a plot and character guy.

Never liked Avatar, never really got into LOTR, New King Kong was awful, Avengers, while good, was unfulfilling.

I read the book "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" and was expecting great things. Then I rented the BluRay and realized "Hey, Battleship was pretty damned good."

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter wins it, hands down.

Felt the exact same way. The book transitioned between his real life events and the fictional side very fluently then they put it on screen and destroyed it.

I still recommend the book to people.

The letters and photos in the book were a great touch. What was that Adam nonsense and how did silver end up harming them if Judas and the 30 pieces of silver came AFTER Adam was a vampire terrorizing the ancient world?!

Alien boats made more sense.

If I had a drink, I would have spit it out after reading that. Funniest thing I have read/seen all day!! I haven't seen AL:VH, but now I almost want to. :lol

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, just a bad movie, how does he go from young abe to full on prosthetics in a blink of an eye, everyone else gets a basic stipple job, yet he looks about seventy, just awfull

Probably that Lifetime movie that went to theaters called Alex Cross. I'd say Woman in Black but I don't remember any of it.

I was so let down with Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter having read the book. About the middle of the movie my friend and I just started entertaining each other by making fun of it.

I would definitely have to go with Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, and then Battleship. Can I reserve to hate any new Star Wars that disney releases? It may not be a 2012 release but i can dislike it now.

I must be one of the few that liked Abraham Lincoln Vampier Hunter. Great movie, no, but enjoyable, yes. :D Saw some of the bad reviews and held off on seeing it but decided to give it a go and was pleased with it being at least what I had expected it to be, Action, bits of history and Abe Lincoln fighting Vampires with an axe.

Worst movie though, is tough. I usually give a movie as much benefit as I can, try not to expect it to be great, but its at least got to provide a couple hours of distraction/entertainment. But I had a hard time with Snow white and the Huntsman and The Watch. They just weren't for me I guess
