What is the average diameter of a lightsaber?

For an upcoming project, I want to try and figure the average saber diameter, or if it would be easier, the most common diameters.

I'm sorry, I should've specified. I mean the hilt. It's going to be for a display project.

I have only really dealt with MPP's and Graflex'... 1-1/2" seems to be the standard diameter.

Obi-Wan ANH, Luke ANH/ESB, Vader ANH/ESB/ROTJ: 1 1/2" = 38 mm.
Most sabers in the prequels and Luke ROTJ (Hero version): around 1 3/8" = 35 mm.
Anakin AOTC: 1 1/4" ~= 32 mm.

Those are the most common diameters for the handgrip area on the sabers. Then various features can be narrower or thicker.
