hi i'm diana from malta and i registered primarily to follow my brother's prop collection and adulate ;)

whilst i'm here i'm hoping also to find out if anyone knows what happened to the original cinderella dress from the film "the glass slipper"

cheers!

deebirdee - posting in the wrong forum is a bannable offense. You will be forgiven only once. Same applies to the lack of capital letters and uploading obnoxiously high-res pics.

:lol

Can anyone please help this poor misguided new member out regarding this dress :) ?

Show her that here on the RPF, we know everything ! (although I have no clue myself about this one :lol)

It is a fair bet the dress is long gone. Movie studios didn't save costumes like they do today; or costumes were repurposed for other productions.

Doing a little research, in January of this year someone posted on the IMDB forums that she had a picture of her mother-in-law wearing the dress as a wedding dress.

This sort of stuff from back then was just sold off in hordes. A friend of mine scored 3 crates of old hollywood wardrobe. He had a set of riding pants with Clark Gable hand written on the inside.
