What electronics do people want?

Yeah Vader or the programmable one would be cool. Different settings. Vader to Trooper to Cylon at a flick

Personally I'd love a vocoder dude. I'd kill for one. I have a degree in electronics. I just don't have the time or memory to help myself.

An affordable Vader voice changer or Stormtrooper voice amp with static burst would be fantastic. The ones out there now are way more than I can justify paying for something like that.

Also, more affordable LED lights for R2's dome would be great.

Also, a more affordable LED on a tilt switch for Boba's rangefinder.... that coupled with a servo motor and remote would kick.

Again, nothing on this list is new but if a cheaper priced version came out I'm sure it'd be well received.

I'd second the sound board blaster Idea. Something small & discrete with a volume control & accurate sound's between stun & fire mode would be greatly appreciated.

Judge Dredd Lawgiver sound bound

something that could repeat Double wammy, Grenade etc etc oh and dont forget the Moving LEDs too up the side of the gun

this would be a must have for me

...Also a reconfigurable sound FX board that you could load up via USB to use with different costumes. Like if you had an Ironman costume and wanted sounds you would just download them into the board then have programmable buttons for that and then change it up to do a ghostbuster costume etc.

PM'd him about this very thing a couple days ago. I think a USB board with 4 or more switches would be ideal. You'd be able to sell one to every single costumer and prop-builder on the planet. Yowza.

I add a vote for a Vader Voice changer. Yes. It won't make us sound like James Earl Jones.

But one that allows one to deeper their voice, includes the breathing loop, and adds in Vaders faint 'mechanical' tinge to his voice would be great.

I see people throwing my name around here with things like "No offense to Hyperdyne". Gee, thanks. :unsure

A proper voice changer is an enormous amount of work. Not only do you have to have the hardware, but all the proprietary signal processing algorithms to do this. I've worked years to perfect what I have, but there are always people who live to belittle what I do. BTW, my original Vortex board was reprogammable. Heck all you had to do was buy a second or third voice chip to turn the board into a trooper, Vader, cylon, fett, etc. I guess that is not good enough for some. :rolleyes

My Vortex 2 board will be reprogrammable as well. It probably will be out of range for some, but again it is not cheap technology from my experience.

Anyway, good luck to whatever you plan on making.

Please, I don't want this to be about hyperdyne. I realize his products are great and he is the standard in this style product because of it.

Please, lets not use hyperdynes name in a comparison or negative way. I am sure we can all respect that.

Thanks for the input guys, keep in comming I would like to see a majority item.

Also, I don't think a Vader voice changer is an option. Though, of the suggestions, that is the one I want the most too.

A budget trooper voice amp sounds good to me i would definitely be in for some of that :D

I agree. I would love a trooper voice amp(something with a static burst), but don't want to spend huge amounts of dough and be on a waiting list forever.

Edited to remove names of other makers of voice amps.

Oooh - this too. Sorry I need to read the whole theard before I reply. :D

I too would definately be ineterested in a low(er) cost Stormtrooper voice amp with modulation (for that movie sounding voice) and static burst. Additional buttons to play phrases from the movies would be wicked too. :D

The low cost option is a simple mic+amplifier and blowing into the mic. :p

Folks, you realize that no amount of electronics is going to turn your voice into James Earl Jones', right?

NOOOooOoooOOOOoo...

No offense in the SLIGHTEST. But your Vortex isn't available at the moment, and no idea when your V2 would be out.

If you can bring out the V2, and it works as well as people loved your v1, GREAT. If someone else comes up with a different one, GREAT. The voice changers are very popular for costuming. But many will always look for a good, but low cost alternative. If you're working on a V2, then I cannot wait to see it.

Ooooh. . . how about some Boba Fett range finder LEDs, or his chest lights? It's something that's been done, but as you mentioned, a "low cost" alternative would be interesting to see.
[/b]

Not sure if it still offered, but TK409 used to offer a VERY good budget chest light system.

Why not a lighting system for the Shankara Stones? :love
Something that increase the light of a bright amber led when the stones are near and turn it off when they are far from each other... :D
Or a custom generic display base with lights and a motor that spins the base slowly to show the prop from all the angles...
