What costumes are you working on?

I've been working on a new set of BSG duty blues for my boyfriend. Made a set last year for Dragon*Con, and being my first ever from-scratch costume, it didn't turn out too well. Sooo, because I'm a perfectionist, I'm completely redoing them from scratch, with better fabric, better buttons, etc. I'm having a helluva time (mostly with the sleeves and suede) but I think it's going to look 10 times better than the previous version.

I would be working on a Viper flightsuit, but I lucked out and got to buy one with all the accessories. :D

I just did a test run of my Halloween costume last night and I'm happy to say it went off without a hitch. I was dressed like Don Johnson on Miami Vice at an 80's inspired club here in NYC called Culture Club. The place is like stepping into a time machine, lol. I must've had a good 25-30 people take pictures with me. Needless to say, Except for a new blazer that I want to buy (the one I borrowed from my dad is too "tuxedo" looking since it's double breasted, as well as an off-white/cream), my costume is ready. 3 more months!!

Currently I have plans for 3 projects
  1. Add anything missing from my Stargate SG-1 costume, got my eye on a GDO that I spotted this morning.
  2. Replacing my Ghostbusters jumpsuit and building the accurate belt they had and possibly a trap, idea was for Halloween but as usual I may have thought about this too late with other stuff I have on.
  3. Would love a Star Trek 2009/2013 costume, either Command or Redshirt along with the utility belt, Phaser and Communicator...I have my fingers crossed Anovos will do another run when I have the money, leaving me to worry about the pants and boots along with the mentioned props.

These may change for something like a Batsuit or one of the Iron Man suits, but these are likely to be more wearable (plus who wouldnt want to be Captain Kirk or Peter Venkman).

I'm making my own chainmaille for a Monty Python and the holy grail: King Arthur costume.
Never made a chainmaille before and it really fun to cut all those rings and see it all grow.

Captain John Hart at the moment, though I'm hoping to finish up his main pieces today and tomorrow since I have a modified Dorium to make by the 19th as well.

Where will you get the coconuts?

The hard part for me is thinking of a beer gut (keg) friendly costume. Or at least won't look ridiculous.

I can't start anything until I have finished a Children's Dress I designed. Got picked as a Finialist and I have to have it made by the 20th of August. Almost finished mock 1. Looking good.

Once I have that finished I am planning to start work on my 'Dr Mrs The Monarch' Costume. Hubby is wanting us to do a huge Group Cosplay as 'The Venture Brothers' for Manchester Comic Con 2013. I have Henchman 21, Brock, Hank, Dean, Dr Venture, Mol Cocktease and maybe a couple more if we can talk people into it lol
