What are your "holy grail" collection pieces?

Before I really had any idea how big the whole prop scene was, and long before I had joined here, my 'holy grail' was a fairly simple item:

Gil Hibben's Jackal knife from BTVS. I then got meself one of them and felt so proud showing it off to Buffy fans who didn't collect props.:)

These days it would probably be a screen used Aliens Pulse Rifle, a screen used 'One Ring' from LOTR and Lightsaber hilts from SW OT would be great.

Oh and maybe a 1:1 TARDIS exterior in my garage. (Very wishful thinking at the moment).

A perfectly accurate ESB Vader suit. To me, that's in the "lottery" category at my current income.

A 1:1 T2 Endoskeleton.

The entire crystal display from Superman: The movie :D

VERA, a replica or the real thing Im not fussed I just want one...that and a hero assault shotgun from Split Second but i serously doubt they even exist anymore.

and a screen used Jessica Alba wouldnt go amiss LOL

I should have mine in a month or so Lord willing, a MR Falcon painted by Dean Dymerski. Next best thing to owning the real Falcon.:cool Aside from that it would be my ANH and ESB Graflexs', as with most, that's what started it all.

I already have most of my holy grail pieces:

Gold plated Fertility Idol
TOS hero phaser
TOS pilot "Cage" Communicator

I still want a fabulous Blade Runner blaster. I'm sure I'll find what I'm looking for someday.

;)

Wow! Cool thread...
I'd go for:
Robby the Robot, R2-D2, C-3PO, a full size Landspeeder, Super accurate TOS phaser with the most powerful Green or Blue laser I could get into it, Full size At-AT (as a playhouse or a home theater on stilts)
Dang there are so many! Sorry, I'm out, too many to list right now. Maybe after some more focus on the question.

Well, one that I will own one day will be an RC R2D2.

The one I want the most and have done research and hunted high and low for something suitable to convert into it is ORCA. After all my searching, including Nova Scotia, I've come to realise that if I want it I'll have to build it from scratch.

Well, I'm off to buy a lottery ticket. :unsure

Cheers,

Kraig

91/92 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with Jurassic Park treatment.
Stargate Coverstones
Stargate
Underworld - DeathDealer coat

Realistic:
Screen accurate replica Batman Begins suit

Only in my dreams:
Screen used Batman Begins utility belt and League of Shadows ninja gauntlets

Magnum P.I. Ferrari and Island Hoppers Chopper.
The ability to grow a Tom Selleck moustache:lol

Realistically, A 1:1 Ark of the covenant, a 3ft Serenity (which I'm working on at the moment) and full set of hero Judge Dredd armour.

Two things for me, off the top of my head:

Darius' diary from the Highlander television show. I held one of the screen-used versions and actually bid on it in an auction, but I was just a poor boy then and had no idea it was going to go as high as it did. I've since totally lost track of who owns it.

Malcolm Reynolds' pistol from Firefly. 'nuff said.

I WILL own this someday!

My holy grail was to own a space ship type of model that was built at ILM. Any sci-fi movie was okay and I was prepared to "melt" the credit card if necessary. Well that day came and I walked away with a screen used model from Starship Troopers. Not the Roger Young, but a 36" background ship (USS Princeton) seen at the Ticonderoga Space Station after the Battle of Klendathu.

Mine was a screen accurate Solo blaster and holster rig from ANH for the longest time- got that.

Then it was a life size screen accurate wearable Vader costume from ESB-got it 3 years ago---

Then is was a studio scale Milenium Falcon--MR helped on that

Then it was the ultimate ST TOS Enterprise model- lit up etc- MR helped there as well

So I am pretty happy

Just dreamin' from here I would say:

Full size working B9 robot from the original Lost in Space
5 foot falcon from ANH
3 foot Stardestroyer from ANH

prop wise it would be the 5 footer falcon from ANH, second not a real prop but the bronze chewbacca statue from the mid 90s..

a few real screen used pieces from ANH would be great also...

For me it's these:

ANH-accurate Stormtrooper helmet made of correct color HDPE
ANH-accurate Stormtrooper armor made of correct white ABS

And then the exact same thing for a Sandtrooper variant.

That's all I want. :)

My holy grail which i currently own btw is Obi ANH saber made from authentic parts:
Real balance pipe
Real #3 MK1
Real clamp
Real booster
Real vintage AS handwheel
Replica bubbles (i cant bear to destroy a calculator :confused )
Replica transistors

Just one huh? the 1:1 Gort was pretty much the one but generated an ongoing debt in fullsize robots. The next big one which is on its way (paying it down), a full size George Pal Time Machine

Doc

***** I remember seeing the restored Gort helmet on a washing machine. A full sized one would have to... that would be taller than the ceiling in my house :confused

Gotta agree with you on the time machine though. Amazingly awesome and intricate piece. I think if you swing that, you should be able to swing a room big enough to show it off in ;)

Didn't someone do a run of the "key" for it a few years ago?

Already own or in the process of owning:
Obi ANH saber made from authentic parts
(Only missing the real balance pipe and transistors.)
Portumac 4-piece Vader reveal helmet
CT Vader helmet

Realistic and will own SOMEDAY:
1:1 HIC
1:1 Vader costume made from the most accurate parts available out there
20th C Vader Helmet

"If I hit the lottery, I will own someday!" holy grails :
1:1 Speeder Bike
1:1 X-Wing

And this (replica will do):
