What Are Your All Time Favorite Video Games?

Oh yeah, they reissued the first one free a while back with a copy of Dosbox. It's literally the first game. UFO: Enemy Unknown. Not on Steam, FYI.

UFO was one of the most addictive games I played on my old 386 PC back in the early 1990s. Even while it had some annoying bugs (like the one destroying some saved games so that you had to use many slots to have at least one near the progress you reached).

TftD was OK but I always wondered why the graphic became worse than it had been on the first part. But all in all I loved the theme of it and the Terror Attacks on ocean liners were very cool. I also have to think of the game when there comes this song in Radio "Barracuda" by the band Heart. I heard that a lot while playing the game and let them hunt down the UFOs. :)

Interesting that empire put TLOU at number 1. I mostly agree with the list, although I might switch the places of goldeneye and half life 2

Assassin's Creed (specifically AC2), Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls (Oblivion and Skyrim), Infamous, FF8, Radiata Stories, the Jak and Daxter series, Star Wars KOTOR, and the .hack series.

But my all time favorite has to be Chrono Cross for the PS1. I still play that game to this day :)

I forgot about that game! I used to play that at a friend's house all the time. Too bad they haven't made an updated version.

I definitely second Skyrim. I don't usually like that genre (LOTR/D&D type settings), so I never bought it until the Summer Steam sale. I haven't played anything else since. I thought Fallout 3 and NV where huge games, but this feels massive compared to those.

SW Battlefront 2 didn't need Jedi characters IMO.
Still, I played the heck out of it on my PC - online with 50+ players was fantastic.
And I got quite good, too.

Emma, you preorder the new Wii U zelda? I have it and hyrule warriors on preorder among about a half dozen others lol. I'm really hoping they do a metroid that isn't terrible soon. I'm replaying the mass effect trilogy despite the fact that i have all these other games to finish. I bought that super expensive Zelda strategy guide set yet only have a few of the games.

Battlefront was ok, but could've been SO much better.

I totally agree. I played both online and after playing Battlefield 2, they felt lacking. I thought they were really fun though. They were trying to make a SW Battlefield game, but they didn't go far enough. For example, the AT-AT could only have a couple of gunners. In Battlefront 2 it could be used as a mobile spawn point. I wanted to load it up with other players and then deploy them down range. Hopefully the new version DICE is doing will be what it really should be.
