What are the notable stained glass props?

Hello all -

I have been doing the google search with little success..... I have gotten the bug for prop replication and wanted to marry it with my current other hobby of working with stained glass. The only props made from stained glass I have found are that of the wall and light panels from Star Gate : Atlantis. I know that there was a Dr. Who where the Tardis was added to a gothic church window as well.

What I am wanting to know is what other props are out there which are of stained glass? Windows, shards, whatever....

Thanks in advance!!!

I just bought a stained glass setup from a coworker with a grinder and band saw. I've been trying to think of ways to merge my nerdiness with the glass too. I think there are definitely some Enterprise night-lights in the near future for my kid's room. But the only thing I can think of that would be a prop is the ZPM (zero point module) power source in Stargate.

I forgot the about the ZPMs - that is a good one. I also just remembered I got some pictures of stained glass windows at the Harry Potter Wizardry World - not sure if they were actually in the movies or not.

I am enjoying working with glass. I have had a grinder and band saw for a while but just now am really understanding how to do projects. Make sure to learn how to cut glass the traditional way (by scoring and breaking).

I began by relying on the band saw and got frustrated with how slow the process was. After taking a break from the hobby I came back and started my recent project only to have the band saw break on me - blessing in disguise. I started working on the project cutting "old school" and it went so much faster and I enjoyed it so much more.

I learned without the band saw, but it does come in handy at times.

My man cave is old house style. So a light switch turns on a single outlet in the room. I'm trying to think how I could rig it such that the light switch raises the ZPM out of the desk and then lights it up. Shouldn't be too hard... it's not like I have to fit it all inside an R2 dome.

There is the Mermaid stained glass window in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It's a nice design, but pretty huge I think!

I love the idea of doing the windows from Harry Potter. The one from the fourth movie of the sad shepherd always stood out to me. Would love to see it made :)

Good luck with these! Can't wait to see other ideas people come up with!
