Re: Weta - Dr Grordbort's Custom Raygun Contest! - SHOW OFF YOUR CONCEPTS AND DESIGNS
Phew! Got mine sent at the very last second; worked RIGHT up to the wire. Hopefully you like. The light up bits are actual Soviet neon tubes (like nixies) and took far more time than I'd expected to get running properly. Still have bugs. The farther you pull back the trigger, the faster the Dekatron on the back spins, and the more the bar graph tubes on the sides fill up with light.

The United Republics of the Red Star got a hold of the original Bison and had at the design, streamlining and instilling typical Russian reliability and brute force into a design that originally boasted little beyond
character... This particular instance originally received the winter paintjob, though it's now gone to rust, and rests on a ceremonial Republic display stand.
I've been so busy trying to get this together, and with other projects and real life stuff that I haven't participated in this thread much; here's a few comments I would've made in retrospect.
Lurksmith! Excellent. I love how very chunky and angry your jump rifle is; the logo and magazine are tops!. Something I could see the black templars employing, both in color scheme and in attitude. Excellent use of found parts; they totally gel into the whole.
Knightjar, Super strong. Love the forms of the body- the hump and undercuts, and the color scheme is great too! Really cool use of the bison head in a way that actually makes sense as a decoration without interfering. And is that a little chunk of a nerf maverick I smell? =)
The piece coming off the grip to the stock is a really nice design element, and I love the thought of the detachable, underslung flamer! Convincing job on the steel paintjob too. Great!
