I made a video but youtube is telling me it's going to take almost 24 hours to upload. Jeez, I wanted HD but that is ridiculous. Will post here as soon as it's uploaded.

Anyway my secret is I'm turning my Righteous Bison into "A Real Raygun" using a magnetron. I call her the Wooly Wisent (One L on purpose).
A couple of shots of parts, just 2 of the important guy, and none of the other things I have ready as it would really clog up the thread.
And a little note, not in character but I like the stationary regarding the Wooly Wisent and its intended use. May not actually mess with modern radar guns but I think the old ones had a broad enough range for it's reflections. If we got any pros, they can call me out on that one.

Seriously though, great job with the video and the blogspot page, I'll be following your updates! We've still got a couple months before these things ship, and that's plenty of time for more video production!
Wanting to get to work without delay, and being a somewhat impatient fellow, I gave my manservant the task of transcribing the fine emblem of our benefactor into a more useable vector format. The lad wasted no time in setting to the task and soon had produced a quite suitable likeness. I present it to you all in the hopes that others might find it of use.
Attached is a Adobe pdf file which should be compatible with most bit map and vector based graphics software package.
I sincerely hope this is not objectionable to the good Doctor and his emissaries who have been so good as to sponsor this little competition.

In other news, I was just doing the calculations and I would need a decent size parabolic antenna (reflector dish) to make this work the way it should.
Guess I'll just stick with it acting like a cheap cell phone/radio jammer in real life with a big cone of projection instead of a focused beam.
Or maybe I will go with just a cosmetic build...hmm. Plenty of time to think about it I suppose.
In the meantime, you gents should check out what some people have done with their magnetrons on youtube. Some real Darwin Award candidates out there.:lol
Or drool over some military and broadcast klystrons and magnetrons. I especially like the stuff for the microwave antennae on radar-guided munitions YouTube - Klystron & Magnetron Tubes
