Missed out on this unique piece when it went up for sale in 2011 and it's been one of my holy grails ever since.

I am now so happy to finally have this in my collection and even more relieved that it arrived in one piece, without any damages due to customs.

Indeed it is and has a stellar paint job with such fine details.

Congrats on acquiring one too. I look forward to seeing pics of those custom District 9 pieces.

I wish Weta continued the line with more District 9 collectibles, including a Wikus statue in 1:6 scale holding a weapon. And if no more 1:1 weapons, then they should at least make the Fuel Canister replica.

Guess they don't visit the RPF anymore and they are busy mostly with The Hobbit collectibles for another couple of years.

Thanks man I did see someone manage to find a 1:6 gun that he added to this statue which look really cool. I agree there is not enough district 9 collectables out there. I have the guns here. Just waiting for my prawn bust and the statue. wish I picked up weta 1:1 scale weapons

Yeah I am tracking down those 1:6 weapons past couple of days now, hoping to get them eventually.

I couldn't afford the 1:1 scale weapons when they got released. But it's great to have the 1:4 weapons as an alternative.

One of the 1:2 scale custom prawn busts has been on my radar, but without any painting skills I figured it won't be wise for me to buy it now. And the pre-painted version is not the color I wanted.

I had also uploaded my District 9 statue image on Instagram two weeks ago. And now I am little ecstatic knowing that director Neill Blomkamp also "liked" the image yesterday .
