Wested, But Which One?

There were differences in each of the jackets, from the first 3 films (not sure about the 4th). Which jacket would you get / do you have? And of coures why.... Many thanks, in advance.

They're personal preferences. Raiders is the classic look and the others are "mods" to that jacket. So Temple is an inch longer, Crusade has storm flap buttons and a larger collar.

Then you have to deal with which leather. Lamb would be screen accurate and most popular, but Goat has a similar look to lamb, but is a little bit more heavier and tougher. Then you have cowhide, which is basically a thick, tough jacket. Horsehide is still quite new and would probably be my next choice for a jacket as it is super tough and looks(at least in pictures) like lamb

I got the cotton cloth liner and it has worn out over the years, holes and tears around the waist.
I wonder if the satin lining would hold up better?

The thing is we end up wearing these jackets A LOT! The cotton is ok, the satin will wear through on the corners after a couple of years normal daily wear.

Wested has other fabrics in the shop, if absolute durability is an issue for you ask if they have something stronger than the normal cotton or satin .I know they have a nylon which is stronger... but it's not often used as it's theoretically not quite as comfortable/breathable.

I actually don't mind how the cotton looks when it wears out. Eventually i may send mine back if it gets too bad but it's just too dang comfy right now. I've worn mine year round and even in the pouring rain. I'll never give this one up. Not sure which version it is though. May be TOD. I'm sure i'll get another one so i can have the fun of breaking in another one.

I know what you mean, I ummed and ahhed about religning my lambskin. I was scared it would be like reheeling shoes (they never feel the same again, imo) but it worked out well. Just let it wear down to the point that the missus/girlfriend/cat can't stand it any more and threatens to throw it out then do it. It feels like new, but in a good way!

I've had my Raiders Wested for ten years. It has the satin lining. I wear it everyday in the winter and this year it started to fall apart. I'm sending it back to them to have it repalced. It's only 30 pounds or about 60 bucks to do.
