Weathering Spider-man Compression Shirt

Hi, everyone. I'm attending New York Comic-Con in costume this year and am relatively new to the maker space, despite years of watching TESTED. I decided to cosplay as Punk Spiderman with minor variations to the canonical version seen in the comics. I found this reference photo to work from.

I got this compression shirt to go under the jean vest.

It fits fairly well and looks pretty nice, but it lacks much texture and would look much better if it was weathered. What is the best approach to weathering this type of shirt (Polyester 88%, Spandex 12%). Thanks so much in advance. I'm a newbie to cosplay, but intend to get more elaborate with it as time goes on. For this costume, I'm forgoing the mask altogether, but maybe I'll get to that part next year.
