Weathering a saber

This a korbanth V2, I am going to do a custom build and pant on this one since I have a A.S builder kit coming. I used aluminum black as a dip, I used a brass rod bent into a u to dip the parts in the container. I think the dissimilar metals contributed to the process, Even though they are both non-ferrous metals both have different molecular makeup. brass will pit and corrode more than aluminum. I am interested in how all of you do your weathering.
