Weathered and Worn Bio Helmets

It looks great Isaac;only suggestion is to darken the recessed areas of the crown and cheek bones.other than that I think it's a great paintjob and the blast marks and spots are dead on

Cool ronin, I was thinking about adding some more of the browns too, I will shoot some black into the recesses too....

Hard to decide  I really like the way it looks with black lenses that's my number one choice but I also like the way it looks with the silver lenses just like the icons bios.

I tried the silver with black mesh, I think I am just gonna go for the black reflective lens...wha do ya think?

I get asked all the time what pictures I've used for reference to paint the P1 Bio. I'll show you the pictures I've collected over the years. There aren't a lot of them, and there are fewer yet pics yet of the laser shroud to get an accurate idea of the correct shape.

When Art asked me to paint his Bio, he sent me large pics that he ripped from the BluRay movie. I spent a loooong time looking at these pics...studying the patterns, blast marks, and colors. The paint on the P1 is astounding...look at how much detail there is...

Lastly, this is the last known P1 Bio in existence. It's taken a beating, but it's still kickin!

i honestly prefer the look of the weathered bio's, just because it gives the bio a bit of personality, but the clean ones look awesome as well. :)

I do like a good battle dammaged bio. The more beaten up the better. And of course a bit of battle damage and filth is handy for hiding flaws.

However...
I prefer a clean bio. Downside is that you can see every little dip and bump on a clean one. Ok many of us like a flawed bio whether its clean or dirty but I find it a great challenge to get them super smooth, sharp and symetrical. For me its all about definition, even on the beaten up ones. Surely all bios were new at some point in the pred world?

But hey. Each to his own.

I prefer a dirty bio, for exactly the reasons you just mentioned, Hippie. I hate sanding.

I used to say the same thing, but my grandpa taught me to keep at it, and in the end he was right cause with a good sanding you can achieve very smooth surfaces
