I thought i ask the RPF forume on idea on how to remove the paint on used bottlecaps.
I could use sandpaper but im going to do loads of bottlecaps and it is going to take forever to do it.
Maybe someone know some solution that i can put them into and the paint just goes away or something.

The thing im going to slowly build is Tom Cruise armor from Legend..
Flatten bottlecaps :)

The fastest way would be to sand blast them using glass bead media. This would still leave a smooth finish on them. You could probably do 100 or so in an hour. :confused

By the time you spend X amount of dollars on strippers and cleaning not to mention your time, you will probably exceed the cost of simply purchasing the new ones...

www.amazon.com has them 50 for $3

www.bottlecapco.com has them in 1000 lots for $49

And Ebay has a bunch as well...

That sounds the easiest way to go, I'm all for the easy way. :)

Aside from that oven cleaner will do the trick.

**Edit**

On the other hand by the time you've spent out for whatever cleaner and the time doing it you.....Aww hell I'd get the blanks and start from there.
