wax iron man

Hi guys im brand new to the whole prop building thing however ive been working on a wax sculpture of the iron man helmet and im looking for some help for the next step wich is casting the helmet i have polyester resin and fibre matt and cannot buy more supplies as my second child is 2 days old i am also stretched for time as i am movin away soon so any help/advice woyld be GREATLY appreciated i undersyand that the fastest route = worst results but once i have a helmet cast i can put in some more work when i am away thanks

You could buy some latex or silicone? and some plaster of paris or gypsonite to make the shell

as long as your not mass producing, you use 100% silicone caulk for molding, its a lot cheaper than buying the smooth on stuff, the down side is the mold isnt good for more than a few casts.

does the mould have to be a soft material ???? would a fibreglass only mould stick to wax ????I was also thinking that I could apply polyester resin in thin coats then remove it from the sculpt this would give a slightly larger version of what I have sculpted ???
