Watched Logan's Run - what's the big deal with it?

Phillip K. Dick?

The original novel was by George Clayton Johnson and William F. Nolan

The book was way different than the Movie and had some pretty cool concepts such as the computer that controlled everything underneath Crazy horse Mountain and Dome cities all over the world which were accessed via a tube train.

21 was the age for last day.

Johnson is doing Jessicas run which should be released shortly

Yes, sorry, was having a Total Recall lack of recall. :)

I watched it on the TMC channel and it was rated PG with the nudity in it. I'm just outraged I tell ya! :lol

BTW, I'm not saying it's a bad movie, just that it's not really something I'd have to watch again any time soon.

They whole thing is very power of myth Joseph Cambpell kind of thing.
They pass through this portal, reborn into the sun, from this sterile technological existance into the dirty natural beautiful real world, too cool.

I see a lot of kids with heads down into devices all day long, and they are sort of in their own portable city of domes in a way.

Who couldn't not love Box man?

It's my job... to freeze you!

My birds! My birds!!!!

Don't forget his big scene was cut. Where he carves a statue of naked Logan & Jessica. At least in the Preview version.

Some interesting themes, and I loved the dome. But the main interest is surely the amount of Agutter thigh on view- and that's not to diminish the other pluses.

Yeah I just don't see anything worth while coming out of Tinsletown anymore.

There is a helluva lot of things they could do with this but I just don't see them making the correct choices

I'm afraid to see what a pile of crap a remake might turn out to be.

If they re-do anything, they should use the vintage footage and just update the crappy model shots of the city and the standout matte paintings.

What I always thought funny is in the movie robots look like Box yet in the tv show, which is supposed to take place after the movie, they are advanced androids that you can't tell the difference from humans.
