Warning! Latexing A Spidey Muscle Suit!

I'm currently in the process of liquid latexing my spidey muscle suit. All is well except the webbing on the spidey costume is taking a ton of layers to cover up. When the latex dries the webbing is still raised. Luckily I have a half gal of latex left, I hope it evens through.

Thought I'd give a heads up.

I've had similar experiences (not with suit, but different props) and discovered the only way to level everything out is to fill in around the raised parts.  Careful though, many more than 5-6 coats and things start becoming stiff and difficult to move in.  You may just have to live with a little web pattern, but once painted it won't be very noticeable.

Should add a few progress pic's man. Not many Spidey suits knocking about on here, might be useful for future builds.

Thanks Brian, I've considered filling in the lower areas in the webbing, maybe that will finish the job, thanks. This is a black spidey suit with thigh muscles. I think once all the pred gear and paint is applied it will be ok.

Here's a pic.

I agree, once it's painted and all the armor is on you'll never notice it.  Also, the netting will hide some of it as well (kinda looks like netting as it is now. :)

Funny you say that, for a split second I thought I could paint the webbing for the netting. My mind is always racing  ;)
