That radar thingy didn't seem to be inserted into those sockets though...they were inserted quite a bit higher.
Didn't they have a shot of the inside of the regular Farnsworth in this episode?
it shows the two headphone jack style connections on the side moved from their original location upwards more toward the top. You can see where they originally were on the unit.
I have reason to believe that Claudia's (Farnworth's) Farnsworth was a prototype to the two normally used in Season 1.
The reason why I say this is because of some minor details in relation to them, namely the differences between them. For example, the "Farnsworth's Farnsworth" has two prongs at the top, which to me indicate that they may be some sort of antenna, while the two regular ones we've seen used by Pete, Myka and Artie don't. And if those aren't antennas, than the hose and copper wire attached to the front cover certainly may be (think of it, using the front cover as a big antenna does make sense).
PS: One or more of you had a theory the Claudia type Farnsworths were actually older than the Season 1 units and just now got used in Season 2. But if you look at this picture: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v447/ignatz/IMG_0566.jpg it shows the two headphone jack style connections on the side moved from their original location upwards more toward the top. You can see where they originally were on the unit. So it looks like maybe these were Season 1 style units (maybe in part or in whole) converted for Season 2.
Are you referring to the two other holes below the headphone holes?
I dont believe those were "moved". Those two holes are originally part part of the Wheatley flybox.
The rivets seemed to be removed and the holes were left over.
I'm not sure why these rivets might have been removed but I'm not planning on removing them. I'm just about to order my boxes from Wheatley.
ok so, i don't watch the show, need to get around to it but, what is a farnsworth
The 2009 SyFy television series Warehouse 13 features a video communicator called "The Farnsworth." In the show's universe, Philo Farnsworth not only made three of these communicators after creating television (one of them being a personal one used by him), he also has a "Farnsworth aisle" in the Warehouse which includes not just some parts and items created by him, but some of his nuclear fusion experiments that one character claims to still be "kicking." Farnsworth also makes an appearance in an episode in a flashback set in 1944.
