Wow. That is just beautiful. And that's still one of the most chilling movie sound effects ever.

From my old eyes viewpoint, your model video with it’s perfect snake head remote control movements, lighting could be the actual studio model. As JNordgren42 said above the sound effects are chilling. Worse than a horror movie. Saw the original movie in the theaters at 6 years old for 25 cents. Had nightmares for years. Still an excellent alien movie with its creepy mechanical sounds and harsh death ray noise.
