Hey guys so I am currently working on my wampa costume but I am running into a road block in creating "Stilts". I need to make stilts that make me 2 feet taller.

You might consider drywall stilts. Ready made and easily available.

IIRC that suit was overly cumbersome and he was suffering from heat issues, on top of not being able to adequately maneuver as desired, so they scrapped it

And he was in Norway in a blizzard. There is some deleted scenes where you can see him walk in the suit.
