Waffen SS Uniforms. Where to get?

Got talked into going to a reenactment in Ga and they told me they would like a few Germans. As I was going to buy a costume anyway, though I would get one. Any links would be helpful! Google came up with a few but I figure you all would know who to buy from and who not to!

Hi DrStranglove, I would recommend that you talk to the guys in the reenacting group before you spend a lot of money on uniforms. I am from GA and I am a reenactor in the 18th Luftwaffe Field Division group out of Nashville. I know from experience that buying before you talk to some of the veteran members could be a mistake. Many groups have authenticity requirements about what types of uniforms are allowed. No one will criticize you for wearing the wrong thing if you are new. But don't be surprised if some of the guys talk to you about the proper way. Not to make them seem rude. But they put a lot of research and money into "looking the part" and they expect that from other members as well. Most people will be supportive and even offer you some uniform items or gear as a loaner until you can afford your own. It is an expensive hobby. But definitely the emphasis will be on authenticity.

With that being said, an airsoft weapon may or may not be permitted. It wouldn't be in my group for sure. Please check with the SS group you are participating with and be sure before you spend 1200 bucks on an airsoft MP44. Not trying to discourage you. It is a fun and rewarding hobby. Just do your research and get things as you can. You don't need everything for your first event.
