W.I.P. Ultimate Captain America

where did you get the belt pouches from? they look like they would be awesome for my scarlet spider build.

I got the pouches from eBay. Just search WW2 Belt Pouches and you should get a few pages of results. There are several different types. I chose the American of course :) The pouches come in attached pairs and range from $5-10 per, from what I've noticed. I glued the gold snaps onto each one. They don't work, they're just for show.

The belt itself I found at Walmart. I was heading to the register and cut through the mens clothing section and saw racks of belts on sale for $10 each. I looked through them and saw this one. Great color match to with the pouches, and beats dishing out another $25 to get the WW2 one, lol. Every little bit helps.

On some other progress - My pants and shirt just arrived. Got a bit of work to do on these now. I need to wait on the custom over-shirt/vest to get here though before I start dying the pants to match the color. The shirt will be easy since it's only a long sleeve white spandex shirt, I just need to mark the areas for the red and add the color.

I sent my base gloves out this morning to get the custom gauntlets, straps and pouches added. I'm really stoked to get those back!

To me the pouches look like either M1A1 Carbine or Springfield ammo pouches. Im not 100% on that though, Ill do some digging and see what I can find.

Cheers,

Hi, i'm trying an ultimate Cap myself :)
i ordered the "cowl" from heroes-in-tights.com (http://www.heroes-in-tights.com/images/PRODUCTS(002)-H-MCA-001.jpg without wings, of course).

one question: how did you made the "shirt"? I was thinking about buying a lycra t-shirt (it have that rubber-ish look...) and sewing stripes and the star..:D

The shirt is just a medium Under Armor shirt with grey spandex elbow pads sewn on, and red stripes painted on with fabric paint.

Progress from Start to Finish of the shield:

Just put the shield up and getting ready to get some much needed rest for the night, but I went ahead and uploaded my progress pics from start to finish. Here they are. Not bad for my first time attempting a project like this, and there were a few flaws along the way, a few nicks and leaks, but I'm satisfied with the end results. :)

Here came the first bump in the road, so we'll skip these parts and move onto after I took the sled inside to avoid any further flying particles who thought the sled looked like a good landing pad.
