Vote for your favourite movie of 2018. Choose one movie from the above poll to cast your vote.

Movies in the poll are listed in release date order and there are about 50 movies listed as a refresher.

If your choice of movie is not listed in the poll, mention it in the comments. You can also list your top 5 or top 10 favourite movies.

I watched 42 movies of 2018 and 20 of them were in theatres.

My top favourite movies of 2018 are as follows.

1. Black Panther
2. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
3. Roma
4. Avengers: Infinity War
5. Mission: Impossible - Fallout
6. Ballad of Buster Scruggs
7. First Man
8. Vice
9. Upgrade
10. Eighth Grade

Honorable Mention (release date order): Paddington 2, Annihilation, A Quite Place, First Reformed, Ant-Man and the Wasp, BlacKkKlansman, Bad Times at the El Royale, Aquaman, The Favourite.

Pure enjoyment? I've gotta give it up for Deadpool 2.

Black panther, ready player one, solo, and ant man and wasp were my other faves.

Infinity war was pretty, but it's a movie that everyone already knew everything that was gonna happen (at least anyone coming on RPF to cast votes :p), so couldn't really stand out for me.

And props to Buster Scrugs for being what it is. just to damned depressing to ever say I "enjoyed" it

Happy as Lazzaro did it for me this year. A semi-urban fairytale of the Italian neo-realist flavor like Antonioni's work. With Roma and then this getting such exposure, is there another rediscovery of New Wave on the horizon? Are we gonna get another boom of influential movies like we got from Hong Kong in the 80's and 90's?

I certainly hope so.

First Man was the best film for me. I think my mouth was agape every time there was a space/flight scene.

Loved Solo, and of course, all of the Marvel Studios films are fun rides.

Really tough call for me...

Black Panther was excellent and important as a film.

Infinity War was cool, but it's only half a story, so I'm not sure I'm prepared to rate it yet.

Solo was delightful and made me sad that they (probably) won't tell any more stories about those characters.

I also still haven't seen either Ant-Man and the Wasp or Deadpool 2, so I'm reserving judgment there.

I voted for Halloween. I'm a long time Halloween and die hard fan of the original. It was a no brainer. This Halloween was a worthy sequel and redeemed and revived the series from Rob Zombies series killer Halloween II.

I stand by my vote, but I feel strange being the only person to vote for or mention Mission Impossible. However, I’ll agree with most by saying Black Panther, Halloween, and Annihilation were all excellent films.

I hate to be a contrarian, but I’ll submit a write-in candidate for me...

The re-released, 40th Anniversary limited run, of “Superman: The Movie”.

By far the best thing I’ve seen in the theater all year.
