Voodoo Doll (Work in Progress)

Hi Guys,

This is my latest project, the voodoo doll prop from Temple of Doom :sleep A professional wood carver hand carved the fedora/head/body for me using picture reference of the original prop. Overall, I am very pleased with it. You can't see it from the picture but the nose is slightly protruding like the screen used doll. The coat of dark brown stain matches the color of the original prop very closely (sorry for the flash). He's making a few more for me & the fedora will be taller this time round. I will be using tan linen for the inner shirt, dark brown lambskin for the jacket, chamois for the pants, brown leather lace for the whip & curly hair from a black wig. Everything will be hand-stitched from the outside using green thread. Let me know what you think...

AlanCastillo did a fabulous tutorial. I made one, and it wasn't a difficult project. You should give it a try.
