Hey jpr78, not a prob brah can we see some pics of ya wearin' th' black, red, an green lion parts ta see how they fit? Do ya plan on doin' th' blazin' sword? If so how are ya gonna go about bein' able ta hold it. keep up th' great job.:popcorn:cool

Looks o'l Murphy been kickin' ya in th' rear brah. Instead of usin' a brush try usin' a piece of of a old pillow case or bedin' sheet as it won't leave brush strokes just like ya would a wood stain, Are ya usin' latex or oil based paint?

You can use a material like posterboard for a smoother one suface look then finish it with some paint oil and latex paints are not th' same and shouldn't be mixed as far as I know , :cooland I could be wrong. To use cloth to paint all ya do is dip th' cloth in th' paint then rub onto surface ta cover it you could also use paper towels. hope that helps ya keep up th' great work brah

There are people that can paint /w/ a brush and not leave brush strokes:ninja spray paint is usually a better method but it involves good maskin' skills:devil and it doesn't leave brush strokes.:lol Keep up th' good work:cool

If you lightly sand with very fine sandpaper between coats, you may be able to sand out many of the brush strokes and get a decent finish. Start with 300 or so grit, and then work your way up to like 800-1000.

great advice. thanks. I do have sandpaper on hand. when I was doing some sanding earlier in this project on the fiberglass. i have 80 all the up to 3000. i have never sanded latex paint. will give it some time to dry followed by light sand and one final coat.

I don't think latex paint is designed to be sanded. It's designed to give walls maximum protection against scuff marks, and to give a nice even texture when applying it to a flat surface with a roller. If it's at all possible to switch to acrylic primer + base color, that would be better. If you absolutely have to use a brusg and absolutely have to use that latex paint though, well, I guess some of those disposable foam brushes should work okay. Just use long strokes and make sure you brush in the same direction for all your pieces. That way, the strokes may not be as obvious.

And I'm still learnin' thanx Recognizer:D I've been goin' through links tryin' ta help jpr78. I can still say I don't know everythin' but I know more now than I did:cool:
