Wow... simply incredible. It looked like you had removed the engine and all driving components to fit the batteries and electrical components. So I take it it's not a driving replica? It looks fantastic... to have Kevin Pike say you could use it on site is astounding. Amazing job! Had I known you were in Dallas I would have tried to drive up and see it for myself.

The stock Delorean aluminum V6 is in the back under the vents.
You are welcome to come to my shop in Duncanville by 67/20 anytime I am there and hang out. I have another Time Machine sitting in there I can show you as well as many other cool cars. (Ecto1, KITT, etc).
PM me for directions.
I'll be back in town by the middle of the week.
Thanks!!!!

Car looks fantastic !

I'm local to you, I've lived in Duncanville for 31 years, graduated DHS class of 1992.

Question: are there shops local you recommend for powder coat paint ? And a chrome shop (for some plating I need done) ?

I live off 67 and Danieldale, if I can find a minute I'll try to stop by.

This is seriously one of The... Coolest things I have ever seen. BTTF Is my favorite movie, so seeing the level of detail is just absolutely heart-stopping. Phenominal work on just... everything. Even managing to get it to shoot smoke from the exhaust, and the circuits to light up. Very, very incredibly well done, man. There are simply no words.

Just seeing pics blows me away, I can't even imagine seeing this piece in person. So fantastic to see such an Icon, literally brought to life.

Kline, this may be one of the best cars videobob has been a part of being built.

Vb is a recaster and this thread I am sure is was just to try and promote his Auction Kings appearance and drum up attention to the car for it's sale. It is a great looking car and it is the best that has been attatched to his name to date. And please, acting like KP is giving you all these props on your car, he is your agent and you making money will help him make money so of course he will give you Kudos on it. This really isn't the forumn for you though VB, recasters are not welcome here.

Ah, I see. Not familiar with the DeLorean cars! I would live to drive up there (I'm in Abilene) and see the cars. I'll look at my schedule and see if I can figure something out, then send you a PM. Thanks!

This may be the best car videobob has ever built, but its far from the best replica ever built.

What I would love to see are a series of comparison photos lined up
with the A car, my car, Joe's car, Gary's car and anyone else who would like to play...along with a spreadsheet of parts in place/missing and a list of ACTUAL functions.
Desi's car is excluded because it is an actual screen used car and it's parts were totally different to the other screen used cars.

One thing to consider is that my car is a "Mr.Fusion" car where as all the Plutonium Chamber parts are deleted, so it's apples and oranges on that one.

If anyone wants to do that, as I have done, you will see that this car is the most superior so far when you compare total parts included, parts that function and accurate placement of parts.

Clearly, there are a few people with biased agendas from previous forums who just like bring drama with them.
I've really got nothing to prove to those people.
We as prop builders chose this job/hobby because of our passions.
I have dedicated my life to this work full time with a dedicated shop and employees who do nothing but build movie props.
Yes, we do this for a living and for profit, just like the people who all of us copy and plagiarize on a daily basis.
Some of my props go to private customers and some of them are used in actual TV and movies (see my IMDB for list).
So this is my profession and my passion.
Thank you to those who enjoyed it and commented positively.

Doug, I have not recasted anything from you so that subject is none of your business. The item that was re-casted was dealt with and put to bed back in 2006. That is between Gary Weaver and myself and is done with.
Gary and I do business often and talk on the phone weekly so the only one complaining is you, who has nothing to do with it.

As for Kevin Pike, yes, he is my agent and that is no secret.
Ask yourself this question, why DOES Kevin, the original builder of the Delorean Time Machine work with me?
Maybe it is because I do build the best?
Maybe it is because I do good business and he can trust me?
How is this a fault?
Do you think he would put his reputation on the line and say something that wasn't true for 10% of anything?
Have you ever looked at his IMDB list?
Would you seriously question his credentials?

If you want to talk about a CONFLICT OF INTEREST have you mentioned
to anyone here that you work closely with my competition,
BRUCE COULOMBE?
That you work on his website, help him with parts and sources, etc.
I would say that is a pretty big bias and also makes your comments lose all validity.
Sorry Doug, you backed the wrong guy.

Maybe you're the only one who would work with HIM.

Congrats on the sale, btw.

These "also ran" Time Machine cars are becoming nothing more than kit building at this point. Buy the car, buy all the parts from somebody else, glue them on - Hey it's a Time Machine!

The window of opportunity to soak unwitting buyers gets smaller by the day.
