Versus (Kitamura) Hero's Sword

I don't know if there are any other fans here of Kitamura's lunatic Yakuza meets Evil Dead movie, Versus, but love it or hate it, the weapons props are awesome.

This is my recreation of the hero's sword.

The only reference I had was screencaps from the movie. I used a wallhanger katana with the tsuba swapped out for a round one from Ebay, then detailed with milliput. Everything was scratchbuilt around the original wooden handle with milliput and styrene. The blade in the top of the handle is a cut-down steak-knife

Well IMHO I hated this film. But in all fairness I've not liked anything non-animated sci-fi or fantasy that has been released in Japan recently.

But I've got to say the sword prop was probably the collest thing about the film and your replica is pretty sharp looking especially considering what all you had as resources. Sweet!
