Verka Serduchka, Eurovision Songfestival 2007

Okay so...

out of a gag with friends, we would do some eurovision cosplays. And because I'm always the person who takes things the least serious, I chose to go as Verka Serduchka, and I will perform on stage, doing what I should do.

And now I'm starting this project up. It shouldn't be too hard. Mostly a lot of fun!

Im going to laugh my arse off, because this will be my competition costume. :lol

I've been taping together the pattern I purchased online in order to get this party started.

Yay for the euro vision love. It's never something I've thought about making a costume for. We just got drunk and built a space ship

Using leather dye, I dyed the shoes silver-y.

I need to trim it a little, cut some loose mirror parts and attach the star. I will also be wearing a baldcap underneath it. :lol this is such an amusing costume!

I couldn't resist. And it's a good thing, because I now noticed some things that desperately need tweaking...

The star isn't as flawless as I had hoped, but it's much better than anything I could've made by sculpting and casting. And this is way cheaper too, as I already had all the materials necessary, and the lasercutting was free.

Only the star and the buttons need to be finished. Then I'm done!

So this character is also in the film SPY now and it is GLORIOUS!

Time for another update, I managed to fix the star. It's nearly done!
