We had to wait until Episode 9 to find out Leia actually had a lightsaber, so waiting until the fall to get my hands on this amazing replica is no sweat!! We all need something good to look forward to

That IS saying something Trent. Are you planning to pick up our Hero too? That also will be amazing, though not gonna lie that project has been hassle after hassle so far.

there will be a big post with logistics and such and official project run signup here once prototype is ready and we can show folks.

we've been facing nothing but hassles on that front too but hopefully things breaking loose there finally. We'll know a lot more in the coming days

As far as letting you know what I think: My personal opinion would be about the cage. It feels a bit conflicting with the overall vibe of the hilt.
I think some or all of the following: less dramatic curve, less substance/bigger holes, different pattern or just completely optional (not using doesn't leave anything looking like it's missing a part) would be good.
The crystal supports borrowing from the emitter bottom supports is glorious.
Maybe the cage could mimic the grip inlays, like an alternating spade bit pattern somehow, (See incredibly crude sketch below) or I don't know.
Just not hexagons. That feels like Battlestar Galactica 1978.

looks good! Lemme know if you have questions with Fusion. That is what I use so... relatively savvy with it.
