A bit of advice from my fellow RPF guys is needed...
Although I did the research and made the call as to what my wife was to buy for my birthday, it was her decision. I came across what was a good buy in the junkyard. Now, the thing is, we were missing some parts and have contacted the seller, but his replies are few and far between, in fact I'm the one that chases him and tries to initiate a conversation. It seems to last a few days when all he has to do is look in another box for some extra parts. Now, me, I'm a patient guy and know that it's not the time of the year to hassle someone. My Wife however, paid for this item for my birthday and is irate, she's an accountant and the paypal transaction is about to end and she wants to report that we haven't received the entire kit as advertised, and is convinced that he's stalling until there is no recourse. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt as he's a well known person here on the RPF.
Payment was paid on Dec 2, I had to wait to get it for my Birthday on the 12th and my first PM about missing pieces was on the 14th after I looked at the "Instructions" provided (a bunch of random pics, not his fault though, it was from the original supplier). He said that he'd look through a box that had another one in it to see if they were in there on the 14th, no reply. I sent another message on the 24th and he said that they must be in a box but hasn't got back yet. My wife is VERY savvy, more so than I, but I don't want her to knee jerk and for me to lose my reputation here on the RPF.
No matter what I say, she'll claim on the 11th hour, it's her money after all, but it's my rep that could get damaged. I don't want to PM him again as I think he may think this is a threat, trust me it's not.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Kraig
