So, it’s 8 days before comicon, and I was getting 2 large props ready to show, when I get a call from the event organiser. “Any chance you could build me something , Kev”, he say’s calmly. Obviously I ask “when for”, “next week” comes the reply. So I said “ I might be able to fit you in, depending on what you want “. He then sends me a photo of the Mystic Grill from the Vampire Diaries, complete with awning, tables and chairs.
Somehow, I found myself saying yes, I could manage it, so a few very late nights later and viola. Definitely not recommended for the faint hearted, but I think I my turned out ok.
