Caught this gem from my childhood at a stupidly early time on BBC2 this morning.

Seeing it as an adult it has lost much of its charm, the professors death is beyond stupid, and the death of the creature at the end seems like its dragged out forever, and its not like he asked to be taken from his valley in the first place.

Plus thanks for burning down our church A hole, those circus people are not going to be popular in that town.

Damm what a pity I missed it have been wanting to watch it for a bit now. Creature geek podcast Episode 4 - Steve Johnson Tells It Like It Is says it is a must watch for any fans of special effects. Perhaps you could listen to that it might just change your thoughts on the film.

The animation is top notch, the story and acting leaves a lot to be desired.

This was a regular on TNT's monstervision. My dad and I always made it a point to watch it when it was on, even the Christmas day one they had one year. I still would take those low budget films to the cgi crapfests we have now.
