Vaders X1advanced TIE resin kit

You must have cried, having to junk such beautiful molds. That will have added to the cost no doubt. :(

Glad to see the new ones are so nice though. What a piece. Wow.

It is all a part of the learning process - when i made those first molds i did not even know about pressure casting. I lost a lot of money, but that will not affect the price of the kit:angel

These are far from your first moulds though, right? They look extremely professional. Good moulds are beautiful things in their own right.

You are my hero. :)

Are you using thixo in the new mould?

The upper half of the body is molded and cast. I also posted a picture of the molds i have made so far, just to show the size of the project..:confused This is why things take time...:unsure

I cannot WAIT to see you (and this) at Wonderfest! SUCH a nice set of parts coming out of your workshop. It's a benchmark in "home brew" casting, as far as I'm concerned!

Seriously, the production costs of this kit are high and a LOT of time has gone into making it come through. Still, this is my first attempt at this sort of thing and i don`t want to scare too many away by overpricing.
I can estimate roughly that the ship itself, without the full cockpit interior will cost about 400 USD + shipping. With the full interior included it will bleed you another 75 bucks i am afraid. These prices are without the Imperial logo baseplate.:unsure

About $400 is a very good deal on something of this size and detail.

I doubt anyone can complain about that price.

$400 + shipping is a phenomenal price indeed! :eek:eek:eek

I am not trying to cause trouble here, (I always LOVE great prices... and I am a tight ******* ...LOL) but I would have imagined the price to be closer to about $550 or so. This is a 1:18 HUGE piece with complete quality. We don't want you to lose your shirt on your first project my friend. ;)
