Vader Reveal

Posted progress some time back, but time constraints forced me to put this aside for a number of months. Couldn't locate previous thread so started this thread anew.

This is my progress so far with my Vader Reveal, which will be a mix of OT/PT and a few other bits.

Helmet and neck piece sanded and primed but more sanding will be required. Also just completed section which will sit under top of helmet. Like I said not OT and not PT, but trying to make it very "mechanical" and not too comfortable.

My favorite of all SW costume/prop items without doubt. Your mask and jawpiece parts look great. What was the original and did you cut from one mask or two? As far as the combination of versions, I'm firmly ROTJ but I'll definitely commend your vision and craftsmanship! :thumbsup

Nice work so far, i think the reveal is one item you can really let rip and make it your own. It may be just the camera angle or the way the picture came out but does the nose looks a little thin?

With the exemption of the eyes, the entire mask, both helmet and jaw piece were entirely scratch built using both styrene, ABS sheet plastic and auto filler.

Initially I started of with a Rubies Deluxe, trying to correct the errors but completly stuffed that and both helmet and jaw were thrown into the bin.

As for the nose, I still have some work there, but I think the lighting may make it a little thin.

A tiny bit more progress, albeit redoing what I wasn't happy with. The V/U shaped section is very much from PT Vader.

That's looking good. You are putting a lot of work into it and it will pay off in the end! You will have a reveal helmet wanted by all!!!

Sorry for to dig out this old thread.
But i'm searching the connectors which are shown in that pic.
( the silver round nipple things)

Does anyone know here these parts are from?
Those looks like a kind of the ones which got used on the RotS reveal chin part.
Left and right on the mouth piece.
If i know where they come from i may find the ones which Don used on the RotS mask.
